Polsko-australijski aktor filmowy i telewizyjny. Absolwent Wydziału Aktorskiego Łódzkiej Szkoły Filmowej. W 1981 roku wyemigrował z Polski, od 1982 przybywa w Australii, mieszka po dziś dzień. Wyjazd z kraju nie przeszkodził jego aktorskiej karierze.  W 1985 roku założył Teatr Zart – pierwszy imigrancki teatr w Zachodniej Australii. W swojej pracy promował przede wszystkim teatr polski i europejski. Wyprodukował i wyreżyserował 40 spektakli, w których także występował. W dorobku artysty znalazły się sztuki prezentowane na Międzynarodowym Festiwalu w Perth oraz Fringe Festiwals w Perth i Melbourne. Na repertuar Teatru Zart złożyły się między innymi tak znane przedstawienia jak: Emigranci, Polowanie na Karaluchy, Antygona w Nowym Yorku, Idiota, Bez Wyjścia. Krzysztof Kaczmarek wielokrotnie był zapraszany do współpracy z zespołami australijskimi. Od kilku lat jest artystycznym dyrektorem grupy Exit Theatre, działającej w Healesville w stanie Victoria.

Jako aktor wielokrotnie występował w australijskich produkcjach filmowych, występując miedzy innymi w serialach: Blue Heelers, Stingers, State Coroner, Rush, City Homicide,  Harrow czy Mr Blake’s Mysteries.Najważniejszą rolą w dorobku artysty jest fenomenalnie zagrana postać ojca w filmie The Sound of One Hand Clapping, który zaprezentowany został na 48 Międzynarodowym Festiwalu Filmowym w Berlinie. Aktor wystąpił także w filmie Jackie Chan’a First Strike oraz kilku australijskich produkcjach gdzie pracował między innymi z takimi gwiazdami jak Jackie Chan, John Wood, Kerry Fox, Sasha Horler czy Jacek Koman.

Polskiej społeczności w Melbourne znany jest nie tylko, jako twórca Teatru Zart, ale także właściciel nieistniejącej już Polish Jester Cafe. Wielokrotnie występował recytując prozę i poezję Adama Mickiewicza, Zbigniewa Herberta, Czesława Miłosza i Bolesława Leśmiana, prezentował także działa polskich autorów emigracyjnych działających w Australii.

A Polish-Australian film and television actor. Kristof is a graduate of the famous Academy of Theatre, Film & TV, in Lodz, Poland, and after arriving in Australia in 1982, he established Theatre Zart – one of the first migrant theatre in Australia that successfully staged many European plays in English (those include: Immigrants, Hunting the Cockroaches, Antigone in New York , The Idiot, No Exit etc) both in Perth and Melbourne and got acclaimed at International Festivals of Perth and Fringe Festivals of both cities. Since then, Kristof has produced, directed and appeared in over 40 professional theatre productions, performed on stages of Sydney and Melbourne including Belvoir Str, Theatre (Svietlana in Slingbacks), La Mama Theatre (Out at Sea, Fly Guardian) or 45 Downstairs (The Last Day of Judas Iscariot). His favourite theatre works include absurdist and thought – provoking plays of Sartre, Beckett, Mrozek, Witkacy or Albee.

Recently he participated in the Directors Lab organised by Theatre Works, as well as the Workshops for Directors run as a part of MTC’s NEON festival.

Theatre has always been his passion, but Kristof is also familiar with film and television. He has appeared in many TV series (Blue Heelers, Stingers, Satisfaction, Woodly’ Flying Circus, Rush and City Homicide, Harrow etc), as well as in a few feature films, like Jackie Chan’s First Strike, Black Neon, Clean, Frank and Jerry, and shorts like Transmission, Art of Walking, Fish & Chips, Rhododendon. However, it was raving reviews that gave Kristof a film recognition for his lead role of Bojan in The Sound of One Hand Clapping – a film selected for the Berlin Film Festival.

He performed alongside Jackie Chan (First Strike), John Wood, Kerry Fox, Sasha Horler, Frank Woodley and Jacek Koman.

Currently he is the Artistic Director of Exit Theatre that promotes European Theatre as well as new works of Australian stage.
